28 May 2026, 19:00 – 20:30

Cranmer Hall, 3 S Bailey, Durham DH1 3RJ, UK

About the event

Chaired by JustMoney’s Executive Director, Sarah Edwards, speakers will draw on Christian perspectives to consider how our current extractive economic model, rooted in colonialism and slavery, creates exploitative relationships between peoples and with the planet.

We will reflect on how our economy contributes to racial injustice, extreme inequality, and the crises in climate and nature, and imagine alternatives, building on Christian approaches to human dignity, love of neighbour, care of creation, Jubilee, Shalom and the Kingdom of God.

We will explore together how we might reimagine our economic relationships in ways that foster human flourishing, build stronger communities and protect the natural world.

An evening discussion event at Cranmer Hall in Durham, on Thursday 28 May 2026, 7-8.30pm, followed by refreshments.
