The CTST project of Street Angels operates primarily in South Shields during the late evening/night. Angels work as a team to offer non-judgemental support to anyone vulnerable, in need, or in difficulty, on their night out.

Volunteering
We place a high regard to our volunteers whilst on patrol. They are provided with training, techniques, awareness and equipment like hi-vis and emergency rucksack.
We do remove (non-broken) glasses off the streets, but only in a safe way, and importantly we talk to people and make sure everyone is safe from harm.
We can even hand out flip-flops to ladies who have lost footwear.
Safety Protocols
Your safety is our priority. We have established protocols for all volunteering activities to ensure a safe experience for both volunteers and beneficiaries. This includes training sessions, safety briefings, and continuous support from our staff. Together, we can create a secure environment for all.
We do meet people who have been drinking alcohol and also drugs. We are there to support a vulnerable person and help them reunite with their group or to get a taxi back home, to safety.
Occasionally our first aid training gets used, and all Angels are required to wear protective gloves when acting as a first aider.
