Happy at Home range of projects...
Befriending
A befriending service for those who cannot get out of their own home. One to One services as a visiting friend (non-carer), or with a weekly phone call.
Happy Hubs
A Happy Hub is a lunchtime gathering of likeminded people in South Tyneside, to chat, sing, play games and of course, have a meal.
Located in Whitburn, Jarrow, South Shields and Boldon
Men's Hubs
The monthly Men's Hubs include Hub in a Pub, Trip Hub and the regular banter amongst friends.
You will always find a quiz or a game to play, but importantly;

Volunteering
Volunteer support includes supervision, walking group, reading group and social groups. It is more than simply volunteering, it is community, connection and development in it's own right.

Referrals
People are the heart and soul of our project, whether they be the person who receives a visit in their home, a person who attends our Happy Hubs, a volunteer who visits the elderly, or a helper at our Happy Hubs.
In order for us to help you to meet the needs of the older generation in our community, we have drawn together these Guidance Notes to help you decide if the person you are referring is right for our project.
Our Service is designed for older people ie people over 60 years of age.
