A Warm Welcome and Introduction to Paul Jones, our new Operations Manager

Updated: Mar 19

At CTST we are delighted to introduce you to Paul Jones MBE, our new Operations Manager. Paul brings with him a wealth of experience in our sector, both through his wide ranging professional experience and extensive voluntary work.

With 20 years’ experience leading charities, Paul’s last role was Chief Executive Officer of a charity managing over 30 projects. These ranged from a Community Pantry to Indoor Kurling, Refugees Transport to a First Aid Training Centre, a Grief Café to a multiplicity of clubs and more! He has represented the sector at national, regional and local levels. Paul’s voluntary work of over 40 years has involved him with church groups, refugee and welfare support and anti-loneliness projects.

Paul, his wife and children moved to the North East from Yorkshire at the end of 2025. He continues to work with young people on their Duke of Edinburgh expeditions as a Mountain Leader. The rest of the family are active in local Scouts and Guides groups. There is a family connection with North Tyneside, so he is not completely new to the region and about 10 years ago he did have experience of operating community transport in South Tyneside!

Here he is: our newest colleague at our oldest church!

If you are wanting to connect with Paul, please be aware that he is presently working part time.
