On 18th June 2026, Churches Together in South Tyneside members were invited to the Annual General Meeting and Gathering at Living Waters Church, South Shields.

At the AGM, we heard the valuable work of CTST highlighted by Secretary Hilary Thompson and the presentation of our accounts by our book keeper, Lynn Anderson. We highlighted the work of trustee Jane Arthurs and thanked her for years of incredible service, as she resigns her trusteeship due to health reasons. We welcomed two new trustees who were elected with full support of members present, from St Gregory's Church Robert and Emily.
The meeting was attended by 30 attendees from 12 of the 38 churches of South Tyneside.

After the formalities of the meeting, we broke into small groups to discuss Social Action and Membership with great feedback from our members, which will help shape our future and decisions based on comments and ideas.
